WHAT IS BREATHWORK?
Breathwork is consciously changing your breathing pattern through the practice of rhythmic, conscious and controlled breathing to help shift one’s mental, emotional, and physical state. It’s used as a tool to bring you back home to your body and attain a deeper state of mind to reconnect you back to self.
The power of the breath – often underestimated, but so easily accessible. When we connect to our breath we have the potential to change our whole state of being by switching on different responses of our autonomic system such as our sympathetic nervous system or parasympathetic nervous system, whether we need a boost in energy, ease anxiety, enhance our physical performance, release tension or help us drift off to sleep.

CONSCIOUS BREATHING.
Breathing is the only system in our body that is both automatic and under our control. We don’t need to think about breathing our body just does it, just like our heart beats, however the difference is, we can’t physically stop or change our heart beating, but we can our breathing which is why the breath is so powerful. When we become aware that we can control it, it becomes a tool, which we can use to improve our physical and mental health, and emotional wellbeing.
It’s our monkey mind and ego that disconnects us from our authentic selves, by practicing breathwork we can very quickly and easily enter a state of stillness and a place of receptivity to let go of whatever needs to be let go of and truly listen to the needs of the body not the mind.
